UngroundedThere once was a girl
Who was afraid to touch the ground
She concealed her feet
In socks or hard shoes
And never saw a podiatrist

She walked as though
She always wore high heels
Though she could scarcely stand them
How they always crushed her feet
Instead she strutted, like a bird

Indeed she could fly
Her thoughts danced about the clouds
Without aim. She soared
But without destination
She rarely restricted herself

Thus her mind flew through thoughts
Like a kite without a string
She left the wind to decide her whims
As she would toss and turn
Before crashing towards the ground

Desperate to fly again
She would always forget
